12 Traveling Steps

Our  "12 Traveling Steps" program that we follow when planning a trip.

1. Pick out the country we are visiting.
2. Decide on how long we can go.
3. Check out airline prices, decide on the one that works for us and purchase the tickets.
4. Print out a currency conversion chart.
5. Print out a blank calender so we can put in known dates and possible dates of places to go. A work in
    progress.
6. Start gathering data on the country . Download travel e-books, read blogs by travelers to get a feel of where to go, what to do & see, prices of lodging, etc.  Start building a personal travel web page.
7. Decide on three places we would like to visit in the country and research them in more depth.
8. Find a hostal to stay in on our first night in the country.
9. Find activities that  we can do that will help us interact with the local people.
10.Check out what gems, gold, silver and artisans crafts the country is noted for.
11. Answer the all important question, "Where are the indigenous craft markets located?"
12. Take only a carry on suitcase and a backpack for each of us.

Only one carry on and a backpack?! You need at least one extra suitcase to carry Jessica's gifts!

Number 11 a must, but don't you need to pack another duffel?
